A Cape Town jewellery house founded in 2012 by designer Kristin Weixelbaumer. Every piece starts with a hand-cut precious or semi-precious stone set in solid metal. Black Betty sells through its own showroom in the middle of Cape Town, a growing list of South African stockists, and an online store that carries the full range.
Objectives
Grow online sales without the cost of winning each one climbing at the same rate.
Our approach
Meta and Google were both live when we took the account over, so the first job was working out which one had headroom rather than assuming both did. Google did. Budget moved towards the searches that were already converting before anything new was tested.
The results
Google conversions rose 33%, revenue increased 40%, and the return on every rand spent improved by 89%.
- Google conversions up 33%, revenue up 40%.
- Google return on ad spend up 89%, so the growth cost less per sale than before.
- Cost per acquisition fell 44% and cost per click fell 37% over the matched period.
"Revenue and efficiency moved in the same direction, which is the part most account growth misses."
